"Fantastic space to relax for a few days. Easy to access along the farm road and great location to enjoy the country. Hot tub and Sauna fantastic and cooking on an Aga is quick but great. Hosts friendly and quick to reply. Enjoyed walking the paths near the home with Alba (small dog) who loved the enclosed garden, the noises and smells of the animals. Great few days away for the two of us. Will consider it with friends given size."

"A beautiful, comfortable cottage. We had the most relaxing stay surrounded by countryside and birdsong. Lovely extra touches from the host including robes and sliders, firewood, shower gel and hot water bottles. The hot tub and sauna were immaculate. Highly recommend if you want ultimate relaxation and serenity. Rikki was a superb host and very responsive throughout our booking and stay."

"My husband and I had a wonderful, relaxing, romantic stay at the West Gate Lodge. The photos really don't do it justice. It is beautifully appointed, clean, welcoming, private (yes, we did dance around naked in the garden 🤣), and warm. The AGA was a treat (but bring your own pans), the spa was used multiple times a day, and the sauna heated up in only an hour. It was hard to drag ourselves away from the Lodge! Lilly, our Chihuahua, also felt immediately at home. "

"We enjoyed our stay at the lodge, we really enjoyed the sauna and hot tub particularly, both of which were very clean. The house was well equipped and we used it as a base for trips to Glenshee and Glen Clove. We loved the stylish decor and the aga, which was much appreciated even in June!"

"Beautiful, peaceful location. Exactly like the photos. Very well equipped, especially the kitchen. Hot water bottles and a small heater provided too but we didn't even need them as we were warm enough with the thick duvet and curtains surrounding the comfy bed. Hot tub area is very private and atmospheric at night with the lights. It was ready to light with extra wood provided. Robes and sliders were a lovely touch. Fab sized bathroom considering the size of the hut. Shed with the well was very unique and interesting. Would stay again and recommend to anyone."

"A beautiful hut surrounded by amazing scenery. Rikki had thought of everything to make the stay perfect. The dressing gowns, flip flops, all essential cutlery, lovely soap, quality bedding, hot tub ready to light…the list goes on. We had such a lovely night, thank you for being a great host."

"Lovely shepherd's hut, located close to lots of nice walks and forests. It was cozy and comfortable with everything we could have needed during our stay: good quality bedding, cooking equipment, decent wifi, games for entertainment etc. We enjoyed the wood-fired hot tub which was amazing on a cold, dark evening. The estate garden allowed space for our dog to run around and was private enough for the hut being on a working farm. The gas bottle ran out during our stay and Rikki was quick to respond and resolve this for us. We'd absolutely stay again in the future, thanks for hosting us :)"

"Stayed here with my partner and 4 year old and we were pleasantly surprised! Really lovely, high quality traditional furnishing. Beds were so comfy with the feather duvets! Bath was gorgeous! And hot tub, fire pit and BBQ went down a treat! The grounds of the property were nice to look round too with a fountain and orchard as highlights for us."

"This was by far one of the best places we have stayed. The bed was so comfortable and the feather quilt amazing. Very clean and plenty of amenities, coffee, tea, sugar. The hot tub was excellent and very private and plenty of outside lighting. The grounds around the cottage were gorgeous and all enclosed garden for our wee dog and dog dishes provided(you don't get that in a lot of places). There is plenty of sightseeing to do or just relax at the cottage. We would definitely recommend and we will certainly be back."

"What a beautiful cottage, would definitely come again. The bedrooms are so plush and cosy, with beautiful bathrooms. The kitchen was well equipped and the hot tub was divine. Great for the dogs too having an enclosed garden and beautiful grounds to walk in."

"We had a fantastic few days staying at Rikki's place. The location is fantastic - it's so private & peaceful. The house itself is amazing - I don't think the photos quite do it justice as to how spacious and well-finished it is. The surroundings are beautiful, the garden is big and spacious - our son loved crawling around the grass playing. The huge, private hot tub is an extremely welcome bonus that we made use of every day. The house is well-located to local towns for shops/cafes/takeaway restaurants as well as local walks. Thanks again for a great stay - I would highly recommend staying here."
