1. Introduction
Welcome to Jordanstone Estate Holiday Lets (“we,” “our,” or “us”). These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our holiday rental services. By using our website and making a booking, you agree to comply with these terms.
2. Booking and Payment
- Bookings made through our online booking system are provisional only until confirmation is received.
- A booking is only confirmed upon receipt of the required deposit or full payment.
- The remaining balance (if applicable) must be paid by the due date specified at the time of booking.
- Failure to make payment on time may result in cancellation of your booking.
3. Third-Party Bookings
- Bookings made via third-party booking platforms such as Airbnb are subject to that platform’s terms and conditions in addition to our own.
- Any disputes, cancellations, or refunds for bookings made through third-party platforms must be handled in accordance with that platform’s policies.
4. Cancellation and Refund Policy
- Each property has its own cancellation policy regarding the number of days before check-in that a full refund will be issued:
- Gate Lodge: 14 days
- Orchard Cottage: 7 days
- Garden Cottage: 7 days
- Shepherd's Hut: 4 days
- No refunds will be given for cancellations made after the specified period
- If we must cancel your booking due to unforeseen circumstances, a full refund will be issued.
5. Check-in and Check-out
- Check-in time is from 15.00 on the arrival date.
- Check-out must be completed by 10.00 on the departure date.
- Late check-out may result in additional charges.
- Bed linen, towels, hand towels, tea-towels, bathmats, hand soap, washing-up liquid and sponges, kitchen roll and toilet roll are provided. Laundry detergent and dishwasher pods are provided in the relevant properties.
- We provide logs, kindling, firelighters, and matches for your stay, subject to fair use. If additional wood is required beyond what is reasonable for the length of your stay, extra charges may apply.
6. Guest Responsibilities
- Guests must treat the property with care and respect.
- Any damages or missing items must be reported and may be subject to additional charges. We understand accidents happen and will always endeavour to minimise any cost or inconvenience to you.
- We make sure the property is thoroughly cleaned between stays, but since time is limited, we'd really appreciate it if you could leave it neat and tidy when you check out. It helps us keep everything running smoothly—thank you!
- Noise levels must be kept to a sensible minimum to respect neighbours, particularly when using the outdoor areas such as the garden and hot tub.
- The maximum occupancy must not be exceeded.
7. Dogs
- As standard, we permit up to two well behaved dogs in our properties. Please contact us if you wish to bring more than two dogs for your stay. The following rules help us ensure a clean and well-presented property for all our guests:
- Dogs are not to be allowed on any furniture and are to be kept out of bedrooms.
- Dogs must be clean and dry before entering the properties.
- Dogs are to be kept on leads when outside the property.
- All mess must be cleaned up both inside and out such that no trace remains.
- Please do not leave dogs in the property when you are out - they must be with you at all times.
8. Use of Property
- The property is strictly for holiday purposes and cannot be used for events, parties, or business activities without prior consent.
- Smoking is not permitted inside the property.
9. Liability
- We are not liable for any personal injury, loss, or damage to personal property during your stay.
- Guests are responsible for ensuring their own travel insurance covers any unforeseen circumstances.
10. Force Majeure
We are not responsible for cancellations or disruptions due to events beyond our control, such as natural disasters, government actions, or other unforeseeable circumstances.
11. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Scotland. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Scotland.
12. Amendments
We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. Continued use of our services indicates acceptance of the revised terms.
